🎴Cards

Like DNA, cards bring characters to life and determine their attributes & abilities.

Cards are suited into four factions. Pretty typical. They also come with some familiar attributes like rarity and information on what they affect in the game, links, lore, and artist details:

Cards "chain" characters to the game and determine their attributes. Not so typical. Perhaps it's better to think of these cards less as tabletop playing cards and more like materia, gems or titanite ore from other corners of the metaverse — the things that imbue characters with power in the game. The choices that really matter!

Cards come from packs in mints and are Ethereum NFTs, meaning they will not be affected by the death of the character they enchain, and can be freely traded on the open market. Cards don't care about what is happening in the game — they're off surfin' the gas waves with all their NFT friends. The inverse is not true; trade away all your cards to someone else and your character will instantly die.

Warning: If a wallet trades away all the cards chaining a character, the character will lose its spiritual attachment to the world and perish.

Cards can be chained in complex ways and reveal surprising hidden combinations depending on their nature. Many cards do not chain together at all, and some even create maladies or easter eggs.

Cards are available on Ethereum marketplaces like OpenSea:
